On Super Bowl Eve, Feb. 6, the Hall of Fame voting committee will select no more than five modern-era candidates for induction into the class of 2016.Also joining the 2016 ballot are senior candidates Kenny Stabler and Dick Stanfel, and contributor candidate Edward DeBartolo Jr. Those three are voted on separately from the modern-era ballot.Davis has made it to the 25 semifinal round all 10 years he’s been eligible. He reached the top 15 finalist round for the first time last year. Lynch is a four-time top 25 semifinalist who has been a finalist the past three years. Atwater and Mecklenburg are top 25 semifinalists for a fifth consecutive year. Also making the top 25 was former Boulder Fairview High School standout Tony Boselli, who was a seven-year left tackle for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Boselli has been Hall of Fame eligible since 2008 but this is the first time he reached the round of 25.The only slam-dunk Hall of Famer from the modern-era candidates is quarterback Brett Favre. Former Indianapolis Colts receiver Marvin Harrison is considered the No. 2 favorite. That leaves three modern-era spots for the other 23 semifinalists. The Broncos are among the five-most successful franchises by any measure since ther 1970, yet are one of the least-represented teams in Canton, Ohio with only four players: John Elway, Gary Zimmerman, Floyd Little and Shannon Sharpe.(© 2015 KUSA)Read or Share this story: https://on9news.tv/1jiSYE3 – Click Here To Visit Article Source
