Baltimore native Will Barton remains with Nuggets on four-year, $54 million deal – Baltimore Sun
He agreed this week to remain with the Nuggets on a four-year, $54 million deal, his business manager Roland Cox confirmed.
“Our mantra is this – when you have a plan and you stick to it, even when things don’t go your way, stay committed. Believe in God and hard work pays off,” Cox said.
Barton was rewarded for the best season of his six-year career.
The 6-foot-6 swingman was one of the top players coming off the bench, averaging a career-high 15.7 points and 33.1 minutes played. He made 40 starts.
Barton led Lake Clifton to a Class 3A state title and a 28-0 record in 2009 before transferring to Brewster Academy in New Hampshire. He signed with Memphis, where he played two seasons.
After more than two seasons in Portland, he was traded to the Nuggets during the 2014-15 season. Since joining the Nuggets he has averaged double figures scoring, with last season being his best all-around season.
