This time though, it doesn’t involve the coaches or the players. Instead, it’s a facelift for Sports Authority Field.Upgrades on the playing surface began on Monday and should be completed by the Denver Outlaws home opener on May 3.”Sports Authority Field at Mile High is committed to providing state-of-the-art amenities to fans and teams utilizing the stadium,” said Zach Myhra, director of facilities for Stadium Management Company. “After completing extensive upgrades to the stadium in recent years, our focus now is providing the safest and best possible playing surface at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.”The playing surface at Sports Authority Field has been in place since it opened in 2001. The synthetic blend surface will be replaced by 100 percent Kentucky bluegrass sod grown in Ft.
