DENVER – The University of Denver ski team will be honored tomorrow at the Colorado Avalanche game against the Philadelphia Flyers. The Pioneers clinched their NCAA-record 24th National Championship earlier this month in Steamboat Springs, Colo.

DU finished with 604 total points, 41 points ahead of Colorado who took second and 155.5 points in-front of third place Dartmouth.

The Avalanche will face Philadelphia at the Pepsi Center on Wednesday, with puck-drop set for 8:00 p.m.

Alpine head coach Andy LeRoy and Nordic head coach Dave Stewart led the Crimson and Gold to an NCAA-record 24th title, producing 17 All-Americans. Freshman Amelia Smart was the highlight of the week, as she took both NCAA titles in the Alpine events. Other top five finishes include, Dag Frode Trolleboe in both classic and freestyle, Eivind Kvaale (classic and freestyle), Jasmi Joensuu (classic), Tobias Kogler (slalom), and Andrea Komsic (slalom).

Student-Athlete Alumni Giving Challenge:

In 2017-18, the University of Denver is holding an alumni giving challenge in an effort to increase student-athlete alumni participation in the Denver Athletics Annual Fund. The sport program with the highest percentage of alumni participation will receive an additional $10,000 of support through the generosity of an anonymous donor.
