Charlie Blackmon is making his spring debut, while Tulo is back in the lineup.
After battling a sore abdominal early this spring, Charlie Blackmon is making his first Cactus League start. Blackmon is sneakily one of the most important Rockies for the upcoming season. Can he get on base enough to be a solid lead-off man? Can he play a decent center field? If Blackmon can maintain a .350 OBP for the season, he’ll score a bunch of runs ahead of Cargo/Tulo/Morneau/Dickerson/Arenado.
Troy Tulowitzki’s back in the lineup too, for his first road start of spring training. So presumably he survived the bus ride without suffering a grievous spinal injury. Each step is a positive. Hopefully he picks up his first base hit of the spring and gets his first defensive rep.

Wilin Rosario is back behind the dish. I guess the Rockies don’t want him to forget how to play catcher, in case he’s needed there in an emergency.
Christian Bergman is starting against a solid Mariners lineup. Erasmo Ramirez is starting for Seattle. Game starts at 2:05 Mountain, and can be watched on MLB.com. Go Rockies.
