Denver police and fire investigate a suspicious package Friday in Denver, March 13, 2015. (7NEWS) Authorities in Denver have cleared the U.S. Attorney’s Office after a package there was reported to have a suspicious white powder on Friday afternoon.The Denver Fire Department says the powder was a “protein” and has been deemed not hazardous.The powder has been sent to an FBI lab for further analysis, authorities said.”The piece of mail is now in the custody of the (FBI), which is conducting a criminal investigation into the threat,” the U.S. Attorney’s Office said in a news release.Fire officials said an investigation into the package is ongoing.The package was reported at a building on the 1200 block of 17th Street that houses the office at about 11:30 a.m. The office says the package was found in a fourth floor mail room.Federal police called Denver fire officials after the package was first received.Jesse Paul: 303-954-1733, or – Click Here To Visit Article Source
