Denver police are urging women jogging or walking around City Park to remain alert after investigators received a seventh report in two months about a man inappropriately touching women. Around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, police were called about a man who approached a woman jogging in the 2000 block of East 21st Avenue, according to a news release from police. The man groped the woman before running toward City Park.The unidentified man is described as being 18 to 24 years old, is about 5-foot-8 and weighs 140 to 150 pounds. The suspect has short, dark hair, dark eyes with dark circles under them and thick, dark eyebrows.The man’s description matches details police received in connection with six similar incidents beginning Jan. 5.Investigators say the suspect appears to be targeting women who are jogging alone in the neighborhoods surrounding City Park. Officers have increased patrols in the area, and fliers with a sketch of the suspect were passed out door to door. Police say people in the area should be aware of their surroundings, travel on major sidewalks and streets, avoid shortcuts and stay in well-lit areas at night.
