The Denver Nuggets kept pressuring the Houston Rockets on Thursday, but James Harden could neither be stopped nor contained during the Rockets’ 118-108 victory.
Harden exploded for a career-high 50 points and made 22 of his 25 free throws, which were six more attempts than the entire Nuggets team. He also collected a team-high 10 rebounds.
Wilson Chandler and Randy Foye put in 23 points each for the Nuggets, and Kenneth Faried double-doubled with 19 and 12, but the night belonged to “The Beard.”
The Nuggets got outscored 32-11 at the free-throw line, and the 10-6 deficit on the offensive boards didn’t help either.
