Dispensary opens in Cassopolis as downtown continues to grow – ABC 57 News

CASSOPOLIS, Mich. — Sunset Coast Provisions opened its doors Friday, operating under Michigan-based Highway Horticulture, and said they chose Cassopolis as their first Southwest Michigan facility because there’s really been no better time to invest in the village.
“Cassopolis is going through a growth phase and the village had a vision to help support that development,” said co-founder Nick Sayers.
The new downtown Cassopolis includes upgrades to its sidewalks and benches, a redesigned beach layout on Stone Lake where the community can get together, and the incorporation of the marijuana industry.
“We’re what is called vertically integrated, so you have the retail dispensary that sells the product, but then in the back a cultivation where we’re going to be growing cannabis, we’re also one of the few to have a consumption lounge license,” said Sayers. “People can actually consume the products at our campus, we think it will be a really cool experience.”
But with lots of competition, Sunset Coast believes it’ll take more than a curated menu to set them apart.
