A proposed senior apartment complex conversion for the Radisson Hotel, a cannabis outlet in the center of Rancho Bernardo and speed limit increase on a residential street in Westwood will be discussed Thursday night.

These issues along with short-term rentals and other broad-based housing issues are among topics for discussion by the Rancho Bernardo Planning Board.

According to the agenda, Affirmed Housing wants to buy the 178-unit Radisson Hotel at 11520 W. Bernardo Court in the Rancho Bernardo Business Park. Affirmed Housing will have a representative give an informational presentation on how the company wants to renovate the hotel into an affordable 175-unit studio apartment community for seniors.

Per the Sabre Springs-based company’s website, Affirmed Housing has completed more than 55 affordable family, senior, veteran and supportive housing communities throughout California. These include Orange Garden Apartments, a family-oriented housing complex on Oak Knoll Road in Poway.

There will be an informational presentation on the proposed March and Ash cannabis dispensary at 16789 Bernardo Center Drive.
