Kyle Waldrop doubled.The arms: Left-hander David Holmberg threw three scoreless innings. He left the bases loaded in the third. Dylan Axelrod gave up a run in two innings of work. Michael Lorenzen threw two perfect innings. Pedro Villarreal gave up the tying run in the eighth. The rest: The Reds caught Brandon Barnes between first and second in the third inning. The 9-3-6 putout short-circuited a possible big inning. Waldrop made a nice play at first on Tucker Barnhart’s errant pick-off attempt.Up next: The Reds play Milwaukee at Maryvale Tuesday. Johnny Cueto (0-0, 0.00) faces former Red Kyle Lohse in Lohse’s spring debut. Right-handers Jon Moscot, J.J. Hoover, Carlos Contreras and left-handers Amir Garrett and Ryan Dennick will follow Cueto.
