United Airlines to donate $1 million grant to Denver nonprofit – The Denver Post
United Airlines announced plans Friday to donate $1 million to Warren Village, a Denver nonprofit that helps low-income and single-parent families become self-sufficient.
Warren Village provides families with affordable housing, comprehensive educational and career guidance, and early childhood education.
“United’s extraordinary generosity demonstrates their commitment to Denver and will enable us to enhance the strength and quality of our core programs and support our desire to expand our positive impact in the community,” said Ethan Hemming, Warren Village’s President and CEO, in a statement.
Friday’s announcement is the fourth in a series of United grant announcements across its domestic hub markets. Each $1 million grant is part of a $8 million United investment that helps address critical needs identified by local leadership in its hub cities — Denver, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, and Washington, D.C.Throughout the four-year grants, United will work with local organizations and engage with city and community leadership.
