Medical examiners on Thurday remove the body of a man who was struck and killed by a RTD light-rail train in Denver. The train ended up near 14th and California streets. (Brent Lewis, The Denver Post)A pedestrian struck and killed Thursday by a light rail train in Denver was identified Friday by the medical examiner as Naythan Cordova, 41.Cordova was found about 3:30 p.m. Thursday after the train was stopped at 14th and California streets. A police spokesman at the scene said the body had been dragged underneath the train “for a significant distance.”Police said an investigation into the cause and manner of Cordova’s death is on-going.On Friday, Denver police placed a 12-foot warning sign at the Auraria campus light rail station. There were accounts of someone out on the tracks in the vicinity of that station before the accident.
