The Denver Nuggets have gone through quite a bit of turmoil in recent weeks, trading away core players Arron Afflalo and JaVale McGee, losing 10 home games in a row and seeing coach Brian Shaw get fired Tuesday.
Tuesday night, they ended their home losing streak by beating Milwaukee under interim coach Melvin Hunt.
Former Blazers guard Will Barton had his least productive game offensively since joining the Nuggets in the Afflalo trade, as he took just two shots, missing both, and scored two points in 22 minutes. That ended a four-game run in which Barton scored at least 15 points.
Barton did do other things to help Denver, getting three rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block.
It remains to be seen if Barton will get the scoring opportunities under Hunt that he had with Shaw. In Barton’s typically stylish way, many of his baskets for Denver have been highlight-reel variety, and fan Steven Dovner gathered a few for a YouTube video that’s a fun watch:
